The Mainland Independent group, a non – governmental organisation, on Wednesday felicitated with the APC leader and Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tunji Bello, as he joins the sexagenarian club today.

‘On this auspicious occasion of your birthday, it becomes not only apt, but necessary, to express our deep – seated appreciation of your immense standing as an exemplary model of inspiration, iconic and benevolent, gentleman, quintessential journalist, seasoned administrator, lawyer, political rising star and visionary genius’, the group expressed in a statement jointly signed by its Executive members Alhaji Ibrahim Alao Megida, Hon. Kayode Aransiola, and Mrs. Folashade Morenikeji.

‘Over the years, you have proved to be a worthy leader and philanthropist per excellence, you have put smiles on the faces of the needy through your unceasing provision of physiological needs to the needy. You are indeed a worthy leader and mentor, and in particular, a friend and pillar of the needy and the under – privileged.

The MIG also commended his wife, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello for her support and shower of love which has contributed in no mean measure to making her husband what he is today.

Also speaking, leader or the Lagos Integrity Group, Pa Dayo Macolay, commended the celebrant as an exemplary leader and Lagosian, who has made an indelible footprint through his creative acumen in bringing about sanity in the environment landscape of Lagos State.

The group also disclosed that prayer sessions are being organised to hold today and on Friday to celebrate the APC Leader. The occasion will also feature an elaborate empowerment program and donations to the needy.
