The founder of Gabriel Adewunmi Alabi Foundation, Dotun Alabi, has advocated more practical for pupils of primary and secondary schools in Nigeria to enable more understanding of what they are being taught.

Alabi said the need to emphasise practical at the levels should be brought to the attention of education strategists and policy makers in the interest of education development and the pupils’ future.

She spoke in Ado Ekiti during the opening of GAAF Learning Resource Centre in Ado Ekiti.

“Traveling for instance, going to places and taking children for exhibitions are part of education. Those kind of things are missing in Nigerian schools. That should be brought to the attention of our strategists for them to know that it is not only about books.”
