The Centre for Forensic Programmes and DNA Studies (CEFPADS) of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has produced graduates from its Applied Crime Scene Investigation Programme. This is coming as the first of its kind in the history of Universities in Africa.

The University of Benin is the first university to establish the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) team in Africa with the intention of applying forensic tools to complement security agencies and help them resolve crimes.

While presenting the graduates to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Imuetiyan Salami, the coordinator, Prof. Eddy Ehikhamenor stated that the students put in resources to showcase their innovation.
